Helga Izetta Quinell

Helga Izetta Quinell was born in a sod house in Linden twp. She worked at the Wales telephone office.
Helga ran the cafe in town for a while. She also played the organ andpiano for the Methodist Church off an on for fifty years. Helga worked for Percy and Leafa Blake threshing crew doing the cooking.. Helga always had a big garden and some of the produce was traded by some of the Stewart kids to the "hobos" who stayed in the stock yords for someof the rings they made. Others paid a penny a piece for the rings..
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart farmed till 1959 when they retired and moved to Owatonna, MN where most of the children lived. After coming to Owatonna, Helga worked for the Owatonna schools.

Helga married Ed Stewart on 21 Mar 1917 in Hannah, Cavalier Co., North Dakota. (Ed Stewart died on 5 Mar 1974.)
