Ed Stewart

  General Notes:

Ed Stewart cam to Wales from Milton. He and Harry Barryman owned and operated the livery stable in Wales. Ed used to by , break and sell horses to the military during WWI. They worked on farms and finally owned their own farm. Ed wdorked one winter in Wisconsin at a logging camp. He worked for the WPA building schools in North Dakota. He repairedgrainerys for Geo. H Johnston. They moved to Seattle, Washington where Ed worked in the Seattle-Tacoma and bremerton ship yards building ships for the Military in WWII. He later moved back to Wales. Edward was the Janitor for the Methodist Church in Wales

Ed married Helga Izetta Quinell, daughter of William J. Quinnell and Mary Ellen Blake, on 21 Mar 1917 in Hannah, Cavalier Co., North Dakota. (Helga Izetta Quinell was born in Linden, Cavalier Co., North Dakota and died on 23 Jun 1974.)
