!CENSUS:Childrens dates from the 1860 census, Town of Argyle, Lafayette Co. WI.
Levi and Sarah are buried at the Old Argyle Cem., Argyle, Lafayette Co. WI.
!MILITARY: Levi Jacobs served in the Civil War- honorably discharged-all were
volunteers. He was in the 3 Reg. Co. B. 21 Infantry.

Levi Jacobs died 24 Feb. 1880 at Argyle. A petittion was presented by Edwin,
Edward, and Aaron Jacobs on the 6th of April 1880. They claimed Leviwas not
competent when his Will was made out and that the Will of the others who
exersized the right of themselves. On 18 May 1880, Benjamin Jacobs who is
residuary Legatte was heard before a judge in hearing to determine heirs.
States Levi's wife is dead. In final settlement, Aaron, Edward, and Edwin are
awarded $225.00 for settlement of contest of will. Sarah Arnard, Green Countey
receives $50.00, Clarrisa Davis, $50.00, Julia Rice $50.00 and Benjimen
receives the rest.

An old marriage certificate, with no parents names, simply states that on 3
March 1857, William Cobb, Justice of the Peace, married Levi Jacobsw and Miss
Sally Gandersstater.
