Fredrick Theodore Klatka
Service- for WWII - from Chardon he was bussed to Cleveland, then bussed to Port Clinton, stayed overnight, got on a train to Mississippi where he was assigned to an ordance company. He stayed with the 553rd company, tank throught the whole war which was for 30 months. He was in Belgium at the town of "Leige." 12 men were lost from the U-2 German Rockets. It was Christmas Eve during the German breakthrough knownas the battle of the buldge. Fredrick married Betty Jean Nutt on 28 Jun 1947. (Betty Jean Nutt was born on 19 Dec 1925 in Painesville, Ohio.) |
