  General Notes:

!Robert was born,married, resided and died in Great Yeldham. His father was
born before the register begins in 1560 but he is mentioned in the Visitation
of Essex Co. in 1634. Roberts son, Robert's age is found in the Chancery
Inquisition on his estate soon after his death in 1628, when his son and heir
Robert is declared to be 40 years old and more,and when his mother, Grace had
died in 1615, he was 28 years old and more. This shows that Robert, the son,was
born in 1587. Robert, the father, was seized in fee of the manors of Spaynes an
Butlers when he died. As he was not named on the register of Great Yeldham I
believe he was born before the registers began.. This information wasfrom The
