  General Notes:

!This is the earliest Plum(b) recorded by H.B. Plumb in his "Plumb Family
Album" published in 1893. The folowing is a quote by H.B. Plumb in reference to
John Plumbe,yeo.:
John Plumbe was from Toppesfield, Essex Co. England and information was taken
from the parish registers and from John Plumbe and Robert's (his eldest son)
wills.
!"I do not know whose son this is. In the "Visitation of Essex" by the "Royal
Herald" and "Rouge Rose" in 1634, they report John Plumbe as the father of
Robert Plume of Great Yeldham in Essex, but name no other children. John in his
will names Robert, Thomas, and mentions the children of John, deceased, his
son, and mentions his four daughtyers without naming them. The will is dated
Sept 29 1586. Then we have the will of Robert ("the elder") dated Jan9
1611/12, wherein he gives to his children and his 2nd wifes's children, and to
his sisters, Alice Easterford and Margaret Edgeley's chidren naming them, and
then "To Thomas Plume my eldest brother his son 5# and to the children of John
Plume which was his eldest son, 10#. I think his eldest brother was named
John, and the John which was his eldest son was born before the Toppesfield
register begins in 1560, and died before Roberts will was made, 1611-12, He
died May 8 1613. The dates of birth and marriages are all assumed, but must be
nearly correct."

World Family Tree 96 Vol 7 contradicts the death date as being 27 Sep 1586

John married Elizabeth about 1529. (Elizabeth was born about 1508 in Toppesfield, Great Yeldham, E, England and died on 25 Jun 1596 in Essex, England.)
