( 8-1-95: It is possible that John came from Tene( Tin?), Bohemia. Ineed to check the Archives for this area) I wrote to the Plzen Archives in Czech. The following is a transcriptof their letter:
Regarding your request of 26 January 1992, we inform you the following: In Western Bohemia there are two communities with the name Ty'n,; Horsovsky Ty'n, belonging to the parish of the same name and Ty'n beloning to the parish of Lomnice. We searched the birth records of both parishes unsuccessfully for the record of Johann Zeman on 25 nov 1871 and years around that date.
There is a possibiltiy that Johan Zeman traveled back to Czech. in 1923. & then back again. The "Belgenland" passanger list of Sep 28 1923 show an entry for a Johan Zeman. who is permanently staying with his brother in law in Cleveland, Ohio(line 12) It says he was single and born in Colin, Czech. Needs more research.
