Milton Jacobs

  General Notes:

Dear Steve,

I am a descendant of Aaron Clark Jacobs through his son Riley (Aaron- Riley
- Milton - Sherman - Sherman - me.

An unpublished version of "The Keyt Family" book (which sounds amazing to
me) and this very intriguing note, "I have acquired a complete descendancy
of Levi Jacobs (son of Aaron and Mary Polly Jacobs) from his birth in1804
up until now. They had formed a Jacobs committee. This group is from
Argyle, Laffyette Co. Wisc. where most of the Jacobs removed to. I don't
have an address, just a photo copied book of their genealogical work."
I would love to know more about the group you mention, or to get a Xerox of
the work they did.

I live in Madison, WI, and have been to the Argyle cemetery many times (as
well as a small unmarked cemetery in Wyalusing where Milton and other
Jacobs) are buried to take photos of the headstones.

Would also love to know more about the Keyt Family book's references to the
Jacobs line.

As I said to Charlie, I'm new to this - I did a little work in the 90's, but
since then put it on hold as my kids went through high school, college, and
got married. Now I'm diving back in and sending e-mails to introduce myself
to a few people (whose names keep popping up) in hopes of learning more.

Any help or guidance you can provide or are willing to offer would bemuch
appreciated. Would be happy to share what I have, if it's of interestto
you.
