!Jacob Plumb moved to Chester, MA in 1791. His children were all bornin
Middltown, CT but there is no record of their births there. The only record of
them is from private sources, as also their husbands and wives. Jacobwas a
shipmaster in his younger days and sailed as Cpt. of a Privateer during the
Revolutionary War, and afterwards was a cabinet maker in Middletown, CT and in
Chester, MA.
