William Served in the Navy from Dec 7 1942 till Feb 5 1946 Serving inthe South Pacific during the Island Hopping Campaign of WWII.

William married Helen Stewart, daughter of Ed Stewart and Helga Izetta Quinell, on 24 Oct 1948 in Wales, North Dakota. (Helen Stewart was born on 11 Mar 1926, died in 1990 and was buried in Fort Snelling National Cem, Minneapolis, Minnesota.)
